State Representative Daryl Metcalfe Reacts To Arm Touch With Homophobic Outburst [VIDEO]

"Look, I’m a heterosexual. I have a wife, I love my wife. I don’t like men, as you might. But stop touching me all the time."

In a video taken from a Pennsylvania state legislature meeting, chairman and Republican state Representative Daryl Metcalfe reacts to an arm touch with a bizarre homophobic rant that disparages Democratic members of the state house and the LGBT community.

The rant occurs after Democrat state Rep. Matt Bradford placed his hand on Metcalfe’s forearm for a split-second while making a point about a bill having to do with land use, reported the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Metcalfe responded to this gesture by interrupting Bradford mid-sentence saying, “Representative Bradford, look, I’m a heterosexual. I have a wife, I love my wife. I don’t like men, as you might. But stop touching me all the time.”

He added, “It’s like, keep your hands to yourself. Like, if you want to touch somebody, you have people on your side of the aisle that might like it. I don’t.”

A shocked Bradford, who is married with four children, responded to the bizarre outburst with laughter.

Many of the other representatives also responded to this strange proclamation with embarrassed laughter.

“We are officially off the rails,” Bradford replied. “My intent was just to beg for your permission for about 30 seconds.”

Metcalfe fired back stating, “Then beg, don’t touch.”

At that point, Bradford merely said, “I don’t know where we go from here,” before tabling the discussion for a later meeting, noting that he was “without further comment that would be constructive at this time.”

Neither representatives were reached for comment on the circumstances of the video.
