Ordos is one of the great ghost cities of China. Located in the province of Inner Mongolia, over a million new residences were developed in the 1990s during a regional mining boom. With mines empty, inhabitants have moved on, leaving a ghost city of empty houses and apartment buildings. Read more about Ordos at the BBC.
