This event marks the latest in a long line of health scares at Chipotle locations.

And you thought it wouldn’t get any worse than E. coli.

Yesterday, a costumer at a Dallas, Texas, Chipotle Mexican Grill posted a video showing mice flowing out of the restaurant’s walls and scampering across the floor.

“Rats fell from the ceiling at Chipotle in the West End,” Bahadir Han Koseli, who uploaded the video, wrote. “That brought a quick end to lunch. Management didn’t do anything while we were there but apologize.”

As everything seems to do these days, the video spread like wildfire and soon enough a Chipotle spokesperson relayed information on rodents and architecture to the press. According to the spokesperson, the mice got into the building through a structural gap in the eatery’s walls, this had never happened before, and the establishment is filling the cracks to prevent this from transpiring again.

In spite of the spokesperson’s proclamations — and while this particular Chipotle has a great health inspection record — this isn’t the first time animals have found their way into Chipotle restaurants. In January 2016, health inspectors visiting a Chipotle in Brendanton, Florida, witnessed a wild bird flying around the restaurant.

Thus the hullabaloo seems to have more to do with the spate of health and hygiene scares the Tex-Mex spot has had over the past several years. Back in 2008, a series of disease outbreaks originated from Chipotle restaurants. Chipotle was able to brush these incidents under the rug, but its image took a serious hit when, in 2015, numerous norovirus, salmonela, and E. coli outbreaks were traced back to Chipotle locations across the country.

With another outbreak of norovirus originating from a Chipotle in Virginia this week, it seems that their problems with food safety have not ended.
