Last Jew of Vinnitsa

In this iconic World War 2 photograph known as “The Last Jew of Vinnitsa”, a member of Einsatzgruppe D – a Nazi paramilitary group – is about to shoot a Jewish man kneeling before a filled mass grave in Vinnitsa, Ukraine, in 1942. All 28,000 Jews from Vinnitsa and its surrounding areas were massacred by German forces.
