Discovered by Mars Exploration Rover "Opportunity", this martian crater receives its rather feminine name from an unusual historical figure: Ferdinand Magellan.

Discovered by Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity, this martian crater receives its feminine name from a rather manly historical figure: Ferdinand Magellan. While circumnavigating the globe, Magellan used five ships–one of which was named, you guessed it, Victoria. Accordingly, many of the crater’s physical features are named after the bays and capes that Magellan discovered.
