Visiting An Other-Worldly Victoria

Victoria Crater

Discovered by Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity, this martian crater receives its feminine name from a rather manly historical figure: Ferdinand Magellan. Accordingly, many of the crater’s physical features are named after the bays and capes that Magellan discovered.
